I really wanted to love this book. The non linear storytelling was beautiful, and the world building was well done. I truly believed that Alex and Poppy were best buds. However, I just couldn’t get myself behind the romance at all. The literal years of two adults not being honest with each other and dancing around their feelings was so incredibly frustrating. But I guess maybe that was the poiny? Too slow of a burn for my taste.
