I found this book a real struggle, perhaps because I hadn't realised it's a continuation of a story from elsewhere.  I couldn't engage with the main characters and some of the supporting cast were almost laughably stereotypical Irish.

I honestly wouldn't describe this as a mystery, very little happens in the first 3/4 of the book and then it feels rushed and glossed over.  But it's OK, the copper's an eejit and nobody will get caught...

Wish I'd given up sooner, because it just left me frustrated that I'd wasted time reading it
