Read this in one day - very atmospheric. I usually hate unanswered questions but this book is full of them and I think it actually adds to the engaging experience. Readers are just as confused and learning on the fly as our Chalice is, so the urgency of her need to find solutions is really felt.
I updated my rating from four to five stars because I just reread this book and loved it maybe even more than I initially did. The world is steeped in magic and politics and it’s so interesting to be learning about it alongside Mirasol. I wanted a cozy, happy, joy-inducing book and that’s what I got here.
