Where The Sun Don't Shine by Alex Metcalf
5.0
Marley is down on his luck. He's gone from living the high life in a fancy house in the Hollywood Hills, to a condo in Brentwood, an apartment in Mar Vista, the backseat of his Mustang, and finally, thanks to a friend giving him a free room in exchange for handywork, Formica Manor, a once grand home now split into single rooms a block and a half from the beach. The best and only thing he has going for him is his 16 year old daughter, who he rarely gets to see as her mother, Marley's ex-wife, calls the shots. An out of the blue phone call from a Buzz, Marley's old business associate and the reason he is down to nothing in his life, will change everything. Buzz needs Marley's help finding his "star" Madison Colfax and he has three days to do it.
Milo came to California to get away and has known he was destined for greatness since he was little and realized his father was scared of him. After leaving a tatoo shop, he notices a girl getting ready to steal a purse, offers to buy it for her if she goes to lunch with him. That's the deal...just have lunch. But things aren't always what they seem as Milo has taken her back to his place to be a part of his sick and twisted plans.
People are not always what they say they are in the backdrop of Hollywood. Where The Sun Don't Shine takes you into the dirty world of the Hollywood scene, where everyone is out for themselves and anyone will do anything for a buck. Where dreams are made but most shatter or never even come true. How you can be on top of world one minute and barely getting by the next. This book sucked me in from the first chapter and didn't let go until the very last word. I highly recommend this one and really hope to see more from this author soon!
