What I Liked
- Sarah J Maas does it again! While her books start out SO slow (and this was no exception) she makes up for it in the last 25% of the book EVERY SINGLE TIME and it makes the slow start so worth it.
- I just love this world and these characters so much. I loved the character development we got in this book - especially with Ithan
- THAT ENDING! My jaw was ON THE FLOOR.
The entire time I was reading this series, I kept thinking how cool it would be if Maas intertwined this world and ACOTAR's world, so to say I was shocked that she actually did it was an understatement. When Bryce went into the gate and was describing what she saw, I had the littlest inkling of suspicion, but as soon as she mentioned the Fae male having "starry eyes" or whatever, I just knew. And I cannot WAIT to see where this series goes from here.
What I Didn't Like/Wanted More Of
- As I mentioned above, her books start off SO slow with all of the world building. This one didn't hook me nearly as quickly as the first, and I found there to be a few too many characters to keep up with, but that's pretty common for her books.
