The Spanish Love Deception by Elena Armas

Booktok did not disappoint.
Let's be real... was this a well-written, literary masterpiece, with critical themes? Absolutely not. It was one of the cheesiest, heartwarming, feet-kicking, late-night giggling, blush-worthy, cringe romances I have ever read, and I would not change a thing.
It's really rare that I find books with Latina MCs that don't make me want to automatically shut the book based on inaccurate stereotypes, and this book did such a good job of just being authentic. There was a perfect balance between Lina's Spanish culture, along with the reality of living in America and adopting American habits as well. I was able to laugh at subtle cultural jokes and relate to aspects of Lina's family in a way that I don't usually get the chance to.
However, I wish I could relate to Lina's love life because HELLO??? AARON MF BLACKFORD??? That man is beautiful and amazing and perfect and I want one now.

The best way to describe this book is if The Hating Game by Sally Thorne had a long-lost sister, it would be The Spanish Love Deception.
