A quick and easy read, a parable for our time.

Whilst I'm not religious, and never appreciate authors who make God and their beliefs a big part of their writing, I did enjoy this short story about two people (a teenager and an older man) who each feel unhappy with their lives and the time they've been given - one wants to end their life, one to live forever.

We learn how Father Time started to measure time and what that meant for his own family life, and how he hears everything - so comes to intervene, stop time, and teach the two characters a lesson.

Relatively light-hearted but with a not-so-hidden message about the value of life
