I think everything that needs to be said about this book has been said but I enjoyed this so much.  I was coming from the Poppy Wars books and looking for that similar feel and this scratched that itch.  First off, there just isn't enough stand alone fantasy books and this felt tied up nicely at the end. I loved the characters, the story, and the world building. It was very immersive and a masterclass in folklore re-tellings. I would suggest this book to anyone looking for a standalone fantasy book.
