Boy oh boy. Let me be openly honest and tell you that I've been on a mixture of psychiatric medications since I was ten years old! And this book simply terrified me. I am now 27 years old, and pretty much this book made me feel hopeless about my future. Pretty much, according to this book, I am screwed when it comes to ever getting off medication in my future. The main idea of this book is that medication is causing worse psychiatric issues in people. I had to read this book for my grad school class and it was discussed a lot in class. I felt this author seemed a bit biased too but the research he provided did make lots of sense and made great points. I think I rated it 3 stars because I just didn't enjoy reading about my endless problems due to medication use. Oh well.
