I read this book almost 1 month ago, but I needed time to think about it for a while before writing a review. And somehow I’m still speechless about how great that book truly is - the way I had no idea about the plot twists coming in and how it kept me surprised in every way possible. The characters are so extraordinary written, the mysteries happening are mindblowing and the 17th-century atmosphere is so so so exciting. “The Devil And The Dark Water” is a book about the complicated human nature and deceptions. And yet I’m happy that the story got its happy ending! 
 
and last but not least... SHALL I SAY HOW MUCH I LOVED SARA AND ARENT!!! their romance was everything my heart and soul longed for
