The Scar by Michael S. Weiner

5.0

"Sometimes the hunter becomes the hunted, and the strong become the weak. The powerful become vulnerable and the helpless gain their peace. The dominate depend on their enemy, but their adversary reveals their true nature, and fatality becomes their conclusion. Pain turns to pleasure, and an awaiting vengeance becomes complete. The cries of sinful temptation are no more, and the presence of an imaginary smile emerges long overdue."
Powerful words from the mouth of the killer to one of his victims. One word for this book...AMAZING! This book was a short easy read that I enjoyed from the very first page. One thing that I really enjoyed was that about every other chapter was from the killer's point of view, what had happened to him in his childhood and why he kills who he kills. there are twists and turns in every page that will keep you on the edge of your seat and you won't be able to turn the pages fast enough to find out what happens next. I honestly cannot say much about the actual story line as I don't want to give one thing away. I was speechless at how this author completely took my by surprise by the time I was finished.
The characters were enjoyable, descriptions believable. I cannot wait to see what else will come from Michael Weiner in the future. This one is definitely high on my recommendation list and I will re-read it again!
