Ahh, Aphrodite before she developed a soul, Stevie Rae before she developed a backbone, the twins before they developed seperate personalites and Zoey before she decided she could simply have all the boys. This is the first book in the series and it has some problematic language, there are several slurs throughout this book that are unnecessary, the homophobic slurs towards Damien are awful but are atleast pertinent to the story, most of theothers have nothing to do with it. I do however really like the idea behind this book, though I dont think its particularly well written I think this version of vampires is interesting as are the native american aspects.
I love Grandma Redbird and Stevie Rae, know Damien always used to be my favourite but perhaps thats more in later books, he was okay in this book but a little annoying at times. I know I am not going to like the next book but I also know if I push through it I will enjoy the later books, just got to get there.
