The Hunting Party by Lucy Foley
4.0
A wonderfully atmospheric holiday season whodunnit. Most of the characters are less than likeable, but the criticisms and the plot lodged between them makes up for a lack of connection with the key players. The grievances between this supposed group of friends are many and delivered well, perfectly timed to keep the reader guessing. It's a quick read, though I never found it particularly suspenseful; the only downside for me was the heroine running alone into danger when she'd figured out the culprit- a famously stupid move that mystyer/thrillers can feel free to leave behind any time now.
