i've always enjoyed whatever this trope is—when one of them think the other despises them but it's the opposite (is it enemies?), and bower boys' second chance romance always got me swooning, so it's no surprise that i loved this book.

i don't think i could love another bower boys more than i love lennon; he's the lovable jokester who can easily makes people in love with him (except maggie, apparently). but let's talk about our red-haired girl! maggie is a bit different from the other two heroines from the series, which i found out later that it was the author's intention of writing her character. she's more complex and more outspoken, but that's what makes her relatable and i love her even more for that. if delilah is the "i have something bad to say" person in their friendship, maggie is the "i'll say it for you" friend.

lennonmaggie's banters are hilarious and felt so alive. they're just so full of love for one another. i love their honesty, the way the communicate everything even the hurt ones just to make sure nothing is missed and everything is talked through. and as always, the love and protective moments from the boys and mommy bower always warms my heart!
