I do understand that people try to compare this to Percy Jackson, but I'd recommend going into it without thinking of Percy too much. Don't get me wrong, the story is WONDERFUL, I really enjoyed it, but comparison kills joy. Definitely worth the read, Rick Riordan knows how to write stories, all right.
