Okay so I honestly wasn't in a hurry to read this one because even though they say to not judge a book by its cover I did with this one. I had hear that it was a good read but I didn't read the blurb and just thought because of the numbers on the cover that it was going to be syfi-ish so I was not in a hurry to get to it. I then got an email to participate in a blog tour for the 3rd book coming out and decided to participate in it and so I figured if I was going to read the 3rd book I should probably read the first two. I am happy to say that I am glad that I did. It was such a good book full of suspense and two hot men! I mean how can you really go wrong with that? I love the damsel in distress aspect of it also.
And well what can I say yes Blane is HOT and well who wouldn't think so? But when she first actually meets the guy well how much more of a HELLO can ya get then the one she gave him?
"The papers I had in my hand went flying and I landed face first in Blane's lap, like an overeager dog sniffing hello."
It didn't take long before we got to meet Kade though either.. and let me say he puts a little spin on things. There is something about him that Kathleen is drawn to and well I wonder what it is? Girls always like the bad boys!
There is so much happening in this book, her friend and neighbor gets murdered and who else helps her but Blane. He is so sweet and caring, you see where things are going and you hope that they get there soon because there is a bit of a build up, but it is good!
Action, murder, suspense, secrets... it all makes for a good book! There is some fun banter that will make you giggle also.
"I was annoyed to realize he was barely breathing hard. I was huffing and wheezing like a water buffalo scaling Mount Everst."
Yes so for anyone who has tried to run with someone who does it that is EXACTLY what it is like so this made me laugh. The banter between Kade and Kathleen cracks me up... the sexual tension well that is THE BEST! so for those who are wondering what team I am on well don't need much to figure that one out do you??

It has been a while since I have read one like this and usually I am not for suspense but I got into it with this book! I got lost in everything that was going on it was so good that when I was done I told my husband this one would SO be a good movie!
