Historical christian read.
Centered around God and family. Life's challenges and joys. Adulthood.
Because it is set in the West and older days, there is a standard of wife stays home while husband provides, etc.
However it doesn't preach it heavily. It just talks about it to help us understand the setting in time and space. Both mentally and physically.

In truth I thought some thoughts and words were inspiring. Something to ponder on.

If the language was the same as it has been read in, cowboy like western accent, then I don't think I could have understood it as well. Listening to the audiobook helps.

The 2nd book was filled with love towards family, friends and neighbours. How important it is to stay kind and understanding but keep your boundaries.

The loss of Ma's daughter to that awful man I could see coming.

And I am so glad they were able to save those two girls and give them a lovely home.

I am also please about the school building and the topic of education for girls and boys equally.
