This book was a lot to get through but so profoundly moving. I’m not interested in mountaineering at all, but the mountain as it connected to her trauma is an important story. For me, the story dragged a bit once she left the girls because it became more about mountaineering than her life and I enjoyed the back and forth between the mountain and what happened in her life to get her there. Despite the lag at the second half, it had more quotes I wanted to highlight. This has been on my TBR for a while and I’m so so glad I’ve finally gotten through it.
