I have read all of the Scumble River mysteries and this one is my favorite. I have enjoyed them all. It seemed that Skye had this poor relationship with her mother and every book the relationship seemed to get worse. Sometimes it would make me want to put down the book. Skye is such a strong woman in a lot of aspects and I couldn't understand why she just didn't stand up to her mother. In this book she finally did. I was so proud of her. I really enjoy reading this series and can't wait for the next one.
