The second story is when they go back to London and are just in denial about everything. This was from 25% to 60% (from my kindle), and it was super annoying. Ava didn’t have any deal-breakers? And yet she hated so many things about Matt. And then her excuse was “but we are in love!” What!? You literally knew nothing about each other. Ava just comes across as super fake and I realize that was probably what the author wanted, but it was too much for too long. It was such a struggle to read because throughout this portion of the book, I was annoyed but everyone…literally everyone, except Topher.
The last story is when Ava and Matt finally have a discussion about how things aren’t exactly what they though they would be (thank goodness! Why couldn’t this have happened way earlier?). They started talking about things and actually having real conversations. I liked this part of the book best.
And honestly, I didn’t really need the HEA ending. I would have been happy if the book ended when she was in Italy finishing her novel. I just felt like most of this book was them being so incompatible and awkward that I didn’t even want them to end up together.
