I first read this book when I was around 12 or 13, and immediately fell in love with Mister Charles Dickens. I can't remember why from that particular time, but there must have been something to spark the imagination of a young girl who had almost given up on reading and had fallen in to the world of virtual pets and friends from different time zones altogether.
