How can I even describe my love for this book? There just aren't enough words! I have been a fan of T.M. Frazier since I first picked up The Dark Light of Day about 2 years ago, and I have read EVERY word of hers that I can get my hands on since then! I absolutely love the residents of Logan's Beach and when we first met Kevin Clearwater during the telling of Preppy's story, I just knew he was going to be something special. So this is the story of Nine (and the story of how he got his name will make you swoon!) and Poe and how they meet, how they get separated, and how they wind through the world to end up back in each other's lives. But, of course, there are lots of bad guys and secrets to overcome along the way. The appearances of King, Pretty, and Bear, as well as their ladies and children, make for such a wonderful little world that Ms. Frazier brings to life in amazing detail and color. As is typical for a story including Preppy, you will walk away with new one-liners, the best metaphors ever, and a renewed love for The Black Eyed Peas. I went through the whole range of emotions while reading this book and that's why, as always, I give this book 5 AMAZING STARS (though it really does deserve way more than 5)!
