I didn't like this book the way I liked I'm a Fan. I am comparing the two in my mind because of certain similarities: the narrators are both dealing with loads of issues and slowly unraveling over the course of the story due to the damaging effects of social media and unhealthy obsessions. That is not to say I hated the book; I enjoyed many parts of it (when it is not making me lying flat in my bed and staring at the ceiling in depression) and would love to discuss the book with other readers.
Update: I've bumped up my rating now that I've had a chance to talk about this book with someone else and realized what a masterpiece it is. Both me and my partner are R. F. Kuang fans now
