While this could have been a cute and clever book about a very intelligent hamster, this was, instead, a story that encouraged arrogance, selfishness, and disrespect. Freddy doesn't really care about anyone in the story other than himself. As I read, I kept waiting for him to learn about considering others, but it never happened.
