⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 stars. It was so freaking cruel how Lionel made Tory act, but I’m so glad everyone was able to bring her back to her normal self. Side note, although washer is a weirdo in every sense, I liked and respected him when he was totally against Lionel and his new rules. Plus he broke up with principal nova because she was pro Lionel. But y’all, Catalina finally was able to fake her death and escape Lionel, and now she’s living her best life with hamish, Geraldine’s father 🥹. And can we talk about the scenes with Xavier and Sofia 🤭. Like yes!!! He deserves all of the happiness in the world and I cannot wait to see if they’ll get their happy ending. Despite all of the shit these people have went through, it was so nice to see the heirs, Geraldine, and the twins become one big family. Like even though they were such assholes in the beginning of the series, I’m so happy they are where they’re at now. Speaking go the heirs, Seth and Caleb’s relationship keeps evolving 👏. Like slowly but surely. Because there’s always so much tension after Caleb hunts Seth, the tension during the threesome with Rosalie, and even Caleb’s inner thoughts are slowly coming to the realization that he’s enjoying Seth more than a friend should 🤭. And then one of my favorite parts of this book was Seth, Caleb and Xavier freeing all of the imprisoned fae that Lionel had 👏. Plus, we got to see eugene again 🥲. 

 

I hated but loved seeing Lance in Darkmore. Hated because he was seen as a criminal and he was away from Darcy. Loved because we got to see all of Rosalie’s mates and their dynamics before their books start 👏. But thank goodness to Lionel’s schemes for once because he got Lance out of Darkmore and he was able to reunite with Darius and Darcy and rekindle his friendship with Tory 🥹. And seriously, let’s give a round of applause for Seth’s mission to get Lance jealous so he’ll get back with Darcy 👏👏. But thank goodness, they finally pushed through and started to slowly get back to their previous relationship. 

 

Poor Tory and Darius went through this book. Like first Tory was imprisoned by Lionel and Darius had to watch it happen with no way to help her. Then, she finally was released from Lionel’s mind games, but was afraid of Darius because freaking vard manipulated her mind. But at least they were able to steal a moment with each other from the stars, have spicy time, profess their love for each other, but also showed their tattoos 🥹. Y’all, that freaking deal with the stars that Darius made 😩. Like I understand it was the only way the twins would survive, but why 😢? Like these stars have it out for them. But at least beforehand, Darius got out of marrying Mildred 😅.
