The Last Widow by Karin Slaughter

3.0

sitting on about a 3.5-4/5

A tense and confronting read that really opened my eyes to some of America's very concerning and detrimental contemporary social issues (ie white supremacy). I didn't realise how tangible hate and honestly fucked up is until I read this book. Some people actually need to get help.

Ngl was put off by the different perspectives at the start but Slaughter did it so well in order to write a whole novel that only saw like two fuckign sunrises.

I like the way and style that Slaughter writes in because there was no part in this book that bored me. I also don't know what to feel about her incorporating a female MC who had been brutally r*ped, again in this book as she did in the Good Daughter. Obviously in this book she didn't really go as much in depth but I like how she makes this issue very real.
