Weird but sweet.
The book starts smack dab in the middle of the day, mid-scene and mid-sentence... their relationship has been thoroughly established so you don't get any of the lead up that I prefer when starting with a new book.
Also, a major problem with coming up with your own cryptid, especially as a MC, is that it leaves a lot more questions than any book should have, especially when this short. When you stick to a more established type of cryptid or fantasy creature you don't have to explain every little thing about that being's life, but here I have so many unanswered questions - that will hopefully get answered in any sequels.
Besides that, the romance is pretty standard and both characters are likable so I'll continue with the next installment.
