Always and Forever, Lara Jean by Jenny Han

4.0

Update! Here's my full review: http://www.bookishrealmreviews.com/2017/07/always-forever-lara-jean-by-jenny-han.html

Okay I'm not going to lie. At first Lara Jean really annoyed the shit out of me. I didn't understand how she seemed to be moving backwards considering the fact that she had such a strong personality and then here she is following behind Peter. I was extremely disappointed and annoyed at the possibility that she would change her entire life for Peter but then I realized I was that age at some point too and I have made decisions that were revolved around someone else and although they weren't good I've learned from them and I'm ultimately glad that Lara made the best decisions for her in the end. Some of my favorite parts of this book definitely revolved around the pop culture elements. I loved them. Especially the reference to Sixteen Candles which is one of my favorite 80s movies. I also thought that the relationship between Margot and Tree was interesting. I can see why she would be so upset that her family dynamic was changing without her. But I don't know if I expected that reaction from her. Overall, I thought it was a good conclusion to the trilogy. I have all my notes written down so I will be doing a full review on this one as soon as a I can.
