Death in Daylesford by Kerry Greenwood

3.0

I was really looking forward to this book. Really looking forward to it because it has been so long since a Phryne book had come out.

I liked that the kids had a more active role in the book and worked on solving their own mystery. I know it is set in the twenties and Phryne is tolerant but the overall tone towards those non white mentioned in the books is quite a turn off.

Extra stars for the women's underground railroad where they were saving themselves and getting out of abusive marriages. The mystery was surprising and it caught me off guard so it was fun solving that.
