I liked the concept, and the characters were really
I was just really sad by how it ended. It seems that whenever people of color are protagonists in love stories, they always end in tragedy.
Maybe I'm just reading the wrong books, I don't know.  It was a cool concept though, and there were some moments that genuinely made me laugh.
