Grey by E.L. James
Did not finish book.
This version was no better than the original. *sigh* I give up!
For some reason, I thought this version would be better than the other. It isn't. I'm sure many other people enjoy this story, but I just cannot get into it.
As a writer and lover of Erotica, this just doesn't read true to me. There doesn't seem to be a mutual power exchange here. It's very one sided and in favor of the male. The sheer fact that he was eventually "nice to her" and this should be seen and accepted as growth for his character is a sorry excuse and it just feels weak and contrived.
I can honestly say now that, I've tried.
