Honestly, I really enjoyed the plot of this book, I loved the main character, Misery, her very low opinions of herself, and the fact she thought everyone used her was quite sad to read about. When she meets Lowe, everything changes. Lowe was a great character, and his feelings for Misery and the way he showed her empathy, compassion, and love were so heartwarming. To me, this was more about Misery and Lowes' relationship than the search for Serena, and it was very smut orientated. Especially all the references to his knot... 👀🌶 My fav characters other than the main 2 were Ana, as she was such a fun, innocent character, and Alex, who was constantly worried he would be sucked dry.
