Imitation of Wife by La Jill Hunt
4.0
There was so much going on in this book. I couldn’t stand Tricia, Titus’s wife. I almost understood why he had this ongoing affair with Janell. Janell was all the way wrong for carrying on an affair with a married man that would possibly never leave his marriage for her. Although his marriage was pitiful. Their marriage was so depressing and boring that I couldn’t see anyone realistically staying in that type of situation for 17-18 years. I also sort of think that Janell was in the wrong for dating Sharod, not because her took her best friend virginity away many moons ago but that fact that she KNEW that her best friend was trying to get back with him. I did like to see Sylvia and Gary working through their issues although I don’t think that I myself could forgive a random 15 year old love child, because if you can hide a whole child for 15 years, you can hide anything! That whole Gary and Sharod beef was not warranted at all! The ending proved how much Nivea valued her friendship with Janell. This story had a lot of drama and I was here for it. There has got to be another installment coming out for this series because of how it ended. At least I hope so.
