I will admit, picking this book up was a shot in the dark for me, as I haven’t had much experience with darker romances. But OH. MY. GOD. I am absolutely obsessed with the popstar x rockstar theme, and had it read in literally less than a day. I love Declan’s character, we love a self aware king!! I loved how he completely worshipped Issa, yet maintaining her boundaries. One of my favourite book boyfriends/husbands for sure!! And Issa?? I love how she grew as a character, especially at the end! Even the side characters are so well developed (Looking at you Antoinette, you icon)

This book simultaneously had me giggling and kicking my feet, while also getting all the feels < 3 Trying to not crack a smile while reading this at work was a challenge I will not lie.

This was my first MercyAnn book, and I am so going to go back and read every other book she has written, her characters and writing are so enjoyable to read!
