Legally Blonde by Amanda Brown
Okay I really wanted to finish this, but this book is boring me to death and I have other books I want to read and I don't want to feel guilty by still seeing this book on the 'currently reading' shelf after four months. So I'm putting this on DNF.
And I hate that, because the thing is: Legally Blonde is one of my all time favourite movies. It just makes me happy and, as a law student, it sure has helped me get motivated to study a lot of times (gotta make Elle Woods proud!).

This book however, is so much different than the movie. I was about halfway through, and really nothing has happened yet. It starts the same as in the movie, with Elle going to law school to get her boyfriend back, but, besides the murder case, that's about it. At 50%, Elle is still crying and complaining about Werner and character development? Nowhere to be seen.
I also just really miss the movie characters. There's no Paulette, no dog to save, no UPS guy, NO EMMETT(!!), and Vivian is named Sarah in the book (I can live with that though). The whole book just doesn't work for me, as it doesn't give me the same feelings as the movie does.
So, I'm sorry, book-Elle Woods, I really wanted to love you as much as I love movie-Elle Woods, but this is where we split ways. Good work at Stanford though, I'm sure you'll get there in the end.
