I read the first two books and enjoyed them, but I really enjoyed the third.  The chosen focal point of Jemisin's story added to this for sure. The characters in all three of her books were interesting, to be sure.  Jemisin is a master at writing compelling characters.  But, this book was just a little bit more and I am very glad that I read it.  I am grateful that such talent exists and look forward to reading her next series.
