5/5 stars. Audio book. I know a book will be a five star read when I don’t want it to end. This is my second Stephen King book and I must say that it is one of the best stories I have ever read. I have never seen the movie and didn’t know much about the story at all, so it was all a new experience for me. Stephen King is such a talented writer. The way he weaves the prose is something to be admired and studied. I wish I would have read his books sooner than later; it would have helped me with my own writing.

I have to say that Paul Edgecombe was such a relatable character. His need for the truth about John Coffey was so admirable. The vengeance of John Coffey in the end with Percy Wetmore was such a feeling of relief and I was happy that it was paid. The ending was so heartbreaking I could hardly speak. I am looking forward to watching the movie this weekend.
