When I first sat down to read this, I had no idea I would become obsessed with it. Phoebe is working on her dissertation on true crime in her old neighborhood with a neighbor she believes to be a serial killer. Phoebe’s younger brother, Conner, is trying to find a way to propose to his longtime girlfriend while the two siblings rekindle their relationship.

I really liked Phoebe’s personality and her banter with Sam, they were definitely my favorite part of this book. There were plenty of moments when I laughed at Phoebe’s antics and her feral cat Lenore.

As a fan of true crime, I loved the inclusion of so many different true crime novels. Readers definitely need to read this one if you love romance and comedy!
