This story collection is fabulous.  Maud is an innovative problem solver, to be sure.  If someone threatens her or inconveniences her or her lifestyle, the solution is simple.  Murder!  I love watching her play up the stereotypes of older folks and presenting herself as less stable and acute than she actually is.  I recommend this to anyone who loves short story mysteries with a pinch of righteous audacity.
