Loving Mr. Daniels by Brittainy C. Cherry
3.0
I had a hard time rating this book. Maybe I wasn't in the mood for a new adult romance, I haven't been for a while and I was addicted to it this summer. So I wanted a change. And Loving Mr. Daniels seemed like a good choice. Which means if you love new adult books you're going to like this one, I'm sure. It wasn't boring, it was adorable but not enough to give it 4 stars. By the way, I really like the title. So cute.
After her sister's death, Ashlyn is forced to leave her mother and go with her father who's only a stranger. His family quickly accepted her and she became friends with Hailey and Ryan, her new step-siblings. The last thing she expected was to start falling in love with the charming Daniel Daniels, only to discover later that he's her teacher.
My favorite character was Ryan. He was amazing in his own way. He was truly was unique. As for Hailey, I didn't like her. I hate stupid blind naive girls who can't stop running after a guy even though he betrayed them. Everyone learns from their mistakes only I guess.
So why I gave it 3 stars?
-The story was too cheesy.
-Ashlyn didn't stop bragging about her atheism. It seemed like the author was delivering his own point of view. Like we get it, you don't know if God exists, so please stop now.

-I'm a sucker for sad stories. So Death shouldn't be a problem. I haven't read many na books only 40 or something, but I've gone through enough to say it's a cheap way to make you like a book. My point is that I hate when they use it to play with our emotions. I'm not talking about all of them. No, there's some good one out there but when almost everyone who's close to you is dead and you meet someone with similar conditions and you share your grief... No. You just can't. Yeah, it's fiction and everything but it's okay to make it believable sometimes. Authors you have to stop using this way to manipulate our feelings. I think the creativity is when you can use acceptable circumstances and write a breathtaking novel. Don't get me wrong, this book was still okay, but not enough to be great.
-I was looking for a perfect new adult and I end up disappointed.
I didn't give up on this genre. No, there are yet many excellent books. I like a pure romance from time to time, but I also prefer more logical novels. That's why it depends on the person and his taste. If you're a fan new adult novels you will probably like it. If you aren't, I'm telling you that you won't.
