I was high key obsessed with this book and movie as a kid, and even secretly convinced (/hopeful) that there might be “borrowers” slinking away with all the trinkets I had lost. Anyone else?

I randomly was thinking about this book and wanted to read it again. Written in 1957, this book aged better than I expected though it still had its moments. It was a little less thrilling than I remembered it as a kid - or perhaps they made the movie more thrilling and that’s what my brain was thinking of. Either way, it’s a short and quick read with a bit of adventure.
