brilliantly touching book about games and gaming yet the themes and nuanced discussion in the book go far beyond that. the author touches on disability, gender politics, representation, love, family, violence and relationships. i went into this book doubtful and uncertain but i left heartbroken at its ending and thoroughly moved by its story. i loved the characters of sam and sadie as well as their complex, multi faceted friendship. marx was an unexpected ray of sunshine. every single character was well-developed and engaging. i would recommend this bookto almost everyone
