The Spanish Love Deception by Elena Armas

5.0

I am so picky with my romance that when a book makes me feel the way this one did…. Ugh instant five stars. I don’t have anything bad to say about it. I had such a good time with this that I literally just sat and read the whole thing in three and a half hours and it did NOT disappoint. Completely in love.

Fake dating, there’s only one bed, office romance, grumpy x sunshine, enemies to lovers… this book has it ALL and it does them all so well. Honestly every page was just perfect. And the absolute tension radiating from the pages? The SLOW BURN… just made the eventual pay off that much sweeter. And when I tell you it was all worth it. Oh my god, the anticipation, the pining…. There were several points where I had to take a moment to breath and just stopped reading altogether to contemplate my feelings. It was that serious. At one point I was doing the Mr Darcy hand thing from P&P. I was obsessed with them from the get go before they even touched… this book had me in a chokehold.

It made me laugh out loud on several occasions, and that rarely happens to me. Like I’ll give a book a little smirk if tis mildly amusing but laughing out loud?! Rare. Yet this book managed it, multiple times. It was just so light-hearted in places and utterly ridiculous I couldn’t help it. Truly made me feel warm inside.

Listen, simply put – if you like adult romance and the tropes included then this will NOT disappoint you. Go and read it, it’s sexy. Okay bye. Also, big FU to the author for once again making me upset that men like Aaron Blackford don’t actually exist. I’m heartbroken.
