Trigger warnings: This book deals with heavy topics including grief, miscarriage, divorce, and loss. This is an adorable holiday book filled with dogs, baking, and finding community. This book made me root for Brydie (along with feeling exasperated) as she figures out more about what is important in her life and who her community is. Brydie is an imperfect and relatable character and her relationship with Pauline and Teddy (a pug) are filled with mishaps and a whole lot of love.
