The Strongest Steel by Scarlett Cole

4.0

*** 4 amazing stars. ***

It's a great book for sure. Captivating and beautiful. A really sweet story.
I really liked Trent. And his music taste. AC/DC and Metallica and Iron Maiden in one book? Who could think of that? He rocks, he's totally awesome. (Sure must of the tattoo artists are Rock fans but no one is as incredible as him). I admired him for many reasons, like for understanding how to treat Harper, pushing her to the limits and then knowing when he has to stop.
Also, I respect Harper for being brave after this long time. Letting someone touch her after 4 years is a big deal after what she's been through.

Harper left her hometown after the attack carrying her scars with her. She quit her passion and her dream job. She's in Miami, working in a coffee shop now, hiding. He'll come back for her. Jail won't stop him. Her back is the prove, "my bitch". But after 4 years, it's time to move on, she hasn't even gone to the beach since the incident. So it's time to cover her scars.

Trent is a famous tattoo artist in the area. He's known for doing a good job covering scars. He loves his job. His tattoo studio is everything to him. But that won't last long. Since that broken girl walked into his shop wanting to have a tattoo and cover her unusual scars, he knows something had changed. He won't stop until he fully helps her going out of her shell. Even though he swore no commitment after his bitter experience, it won't last because Harper is different and he'll do anything for her.

Her attacker can be out of jail anytime soon now. He's sending these anagrams messages. He'll come back, he knows where she lives. But she can't run anymore. She has Trent and he's worth it. Her life is going better than she expected and she won't let him destroy it, not anymore.
She's worth fighting for. She deserves to live.

It's a beautiful story, I can tell you that. Fun and overwhelming, it was definitely an enjoyable read.
