Motherhood by Sheila Heti

Did not finish book.
Abandoned book 1/3 way through. The magic 8 ball felt gimmicky and a form of self avoidance or indirectly getting to the answer you wanted or were comfortable accepting. Lots of internalized misogyny in the women mentioned and IMO in the author. I understand working through the decision to have children is steeped in misogyny and patriarchy, but those topics are exemplified but not addressed (& I recognize I stopped a 3rd way through; I want it addressed from the start). I am interested in a more direct approach. So for me overall it was intellectually avoidant and had more unaddressed misogyny than I'm willing to bear.
