The Lathe of Heaven by Ursula K. Le Guin
5.0
Darn this brilliant piece of literature. Both a great story and a book that delivers contemplative discussions on age-old issues.
When is a sacrifice considered too much in our desire to achieve a better world? Who gets to choose the cost? Who has the right to dictate what is best for everyone? Can problems on a global scale (poverty, war, sickness, discrimination) be truly eradicated? Are humans even capable of changing for the better?
