Ruin and Rising by Leigh Bardugo

5.0

★★★★★/5

I read this book in one sitting. And it made me sob. Once agian, Leigh Bardugo's writing was absolutely phenomenal.

This book was amazing from the start. I physically could not put this book down. In the final installment of the Shadow and Bone series, Leigh perfectly finishes what the first book started, in an amazing (yet tear-jerking) conclusion. Not only was the writing beautiful, but it was also incredibly moving with amazing quotes. While Ruin and Rising didn't end the way I expected it to, I was still incredibly satisfied with the ending.

*SLIGHT SIEGE AND STORM SPOILER*
Picking up from where Siege and Storm left off, Alina and Mal race to find Morozova's last amplifier in one final attempt to save Ravka, but along the way secrets are revealed that make Alina question power and her past. In the last book of the series, that stakes are high, and Alina has to decide how far she is willing to go to save Ravka and what she is willing to sacrifice for the good of her country.
