can’t believe I don’t have a review of this already but uh hot take this isn’t as good as I remember it being? it’s still really good but having read all of SJMs books it definitely feels a little more juvenile and less developed than some of her other books? it feels very much like a debut novel I guess which makes sense because...it is but idk?? still really enjoyed it though bc I love my sons chaol and dorian
