This was interesting and not at all what I expected! The title + the tagline below it made me think this was some kind of Beauty and the Beast retelling, but it really wasn't. While that didn't disappoint me (I'm not always in the mood for fairytale retellings), I feel like it was a bit misleading.
I loved the creepy, otherworldly vibes of the Faery path. Aoife was a sweet character, and I felt so bad for her with everything she went through.
Honestly, the only thing I didn't enjoy was how short the book was. It made the character arcs seem rushed...but I am intrigued about the rest of the series now!
